How to help

  • Spread the news. Misery loves company!

  • Talk to your clients. Use a recent project and apply higher wages to the estimate or billing that was involved. Show them what it means to them in dollars. Ask them to support us.

  • Be prepared to participate in public comment. Cultivate some of your more astute or influential customers to participate as well.

  • Speak with any legislators you may know about this and how it impacts you, your family and especially your employees. Visit your legislator in their own district office, especially when they don't share your view.

  • Talk to any elected officials, from school board members to city council members and your legislators about the truly negative aspects of Project Labor Agreements and the potential for discrimination found in some Contract Prequalification Forms.

  • Get Involved in Politics. Run for public office, any office. Support those in office that support you. Speak with your checkbook. Encourage people around you (friends, family, employees, co-workers etc.) to vote. Explain the differences between candidates in terms of what they mean to your industry.

  • Write letters to the editors of local newspapers, Call legislators and question them on talk shows.

  • Join FLAC.
